We have enjoyed a nice spring break over the last week. Jess had the same break so she gave me a nudge and we went to the zoo on what seemed to be the busiest day ev-er! ;-) But despite the crowd, we had a great time!
We hosted an Easter craft/playdate lunch at our house. We had just a couple other families with similar age kids over and did a couple of fun Easter crafts and share some yummy treats. The kids had a great time!
We spent a couple of days at the lake house but came home in time to celebrate Easter with our church and families.
Obviously the kids enjoyed the fun and games that come with the holiday but we make sure we remind them the real reason we celebrate and that is of course the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross and how He died and rose again to save us from our sins.
Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
